Peek Behind the Veil With the Sisters

Throughout the year, Sisters engage in a whirlwind of events from tawdry to swellegant.  We welcome every single reveler to the Folsom Street Fair, whether leather-garbed, festooned in flannel, or sky-clad.  We throw an incredible party in the park every Easter, family-friendly before noon and devolving thereafter.  We host bingo, check tickets, serve beer, create a thousand paper poppies to adorn a stage, push raffle tickets, monitor gates, set up chairs, take down chairs, line up porta potties, direct foot traffic, and pick up trash.

Working entry gates and front desks lets us flirt and banter with everyone who comes and goes.  At many events we're behind the scenes where the corsets are laced up, the glitter applied, the wig secured, and the magic made.  Even mundane tasks become a thrill as we connect, share our barbed wit, comment on that outfit, lend a willing ear, and love, love, love.

We're often in need of helping hands, willing bodies, and ready smiles to help us accomplish our work.  We guarantee you'll go home with tired feet, amazing photos, and story or two.  Volunteering with us is also the first step in becoming a Sister, and a great way to get a feel for the work, play, and ministry that are our joy.
