The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, San Francisco’s revered and irreverent Order of queer and trans nuns, in partnership with Do Good Stuff, are delighted to invite neighbors across the Bay Area to their Annual Easter Celebration, “Easter in the Park: Love Thy Neighbor.”
“Love Thy Neighbor” — Celebrating Our Shared Humanity
This year’s theme, “Love Thy Neighbor,” is a joy-fueled reminder that our neighbors are not “others” — they are family. In a time when neighborhoods are being divided by fear and misinformation, the Sisters are calling communities back to the radical idea of love — showing up for one another, regardless of our differences. This is exactly what the Sisters’ mission has always stood for — universal joy, acceptance, and unapologetic solidarity with targeted communities.

The Contests
The contests are open to all. When contests are announced from the stage, contestants should line up backstage near the tennis courts, where contestant wranglers will greet them. Due to time and stage constraints, there is an initial screening process, and finalists will be invited onstage for audience judging. Groups are discouraged, and only one person per entry will be allowed onstage for judging.

Leave No Trace
The Sisters invite all guests to Leave No Trace in Dolores Park. It’s essential to our permit — and to bringing Easter in the Park back year after year — that we leave Mission Dolores Park in better shape than we found it, so please clean up around you, and tell your friends. That means managing your trash and packing it all out — every bit and piece — when you leave. Trash and recycling are located along the perimeter of the event — be a dear and use them

Your Support Keeps Easter in the Park Radically Free and Accessible

The Sisters' Annual Easter Celebration is a free event open to all. Each year the Sisters collect donations to help cover event expenses and to support the Sisters’ community work and grants. Contributions help offset the cost of producing this 10,000-person block party, ensuring that Easter in the Park remains radically free and accessible to all. Donations also expand the grants the Sisters distribute to small, grassroots organizations caring for their neighbors year-round.
