After coming out in my late 20's (ex wife found my porn stash), and finally moving to SF to be in my first gay relationship, I started to realize that I needed to connect to a community.  Having been raised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, with a ten year old daughter, I felt very disconnected, very unsure of where I wanted to be.  I knew that I wanted to be a part of the Gay Community, but didnt' really fit in as a bear, otter, cub, wolf, honey badger, or other gay animal stereotype.  While I really loved leather, it was far to expensive for me to join up with the leather community.  I had no idea WHAT drag was all about.  But then, one day at Castro Street fair, I saw the Sisters.  I was compelled, and a little repulsed, by the vision of men who owned their masculinity while wearing fabulous ball gowns, flawless makeup, and served the very community I was trying to insert myself into.  I started to investigate, and really got a feel for what the Sisters do and who they were trying to help, and realized they were trying to help people like me!  I didn't run up and join right away, it took me about another 2 years to finally start the process, but I am so gratefull that I did.  I get to incorporate all those wonderful aspects of my community into a single manifestation, have fun, be fabulous, and help out so many members of my community that are looking for their own niche, looking for a place to belong.  I've definitely come a long way since starting my journey, and I have the wonderful love and support of my Sisters to thank for who I am today!

I grew up as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, which meant I went door to door and did the full bible banging come to jesus-I'm right-You're wrong-only thru me can you be saved spiel.  One of the things that attracted me to the Sisters is the fact that we work to expiate stigmatic guilt, or that guilt that you aren't good enough for a deity to love because you happen to like the same gender in bed.

After starting my process with the Sisters, I became involved with Paganism, and am now a happy practicing lil witch.  No pointy hat, but if you wanna see something pointy, just come over here and get on your knees!  I'll give ya something pointy to worship!  xoxo

I am a firm believer in balance.  Balance in life, love, expression, work, etc.  When you work hard to live a harmonious life, it shows in the results you get back from your efforts.  When your mind and spirit are in balance within yourself and with your world around you, obstacles are cleared, your path is smoother, and you don't get those annoying stress lines around your eyes!
