The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence® is a leading-edge Order of queer nuns. Since our first appearance in San Francisco on Easter Sunday, 1979, the Sisters have devoted ourselves to community service, ministry and outreach to those on the edges, and to promoting human rights, respect for diversity and spiritual enlightenment. We believe all people have a right to express their unique joy and beauty and we use humor and irreverent wit to expose the forces of bigotry, complacency and guilt that chain the human spirit.
Use our secured method to leave us a tax-deductible donation so that we can further our vows to spread universal joy and expiate stigmatic guilt by providing grants to nonprofits that promote wellness, identity, tolerance and diversity in our communities.
D&H Sustainable Jewelers and Novice Sister Violet Sin Bloom partner together for an irreverent evening of wine and whimsy as D&H hosts this very special “Wine Tasting for a Cause: Supporting Our Habits,” an event to benefit the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Relax and peruse the of one-of-a-kind, hand-made, custom jewelry while enjoying fine wines provided by A Cellar Full of Noise. Throughout the evening, Sisters will be on hand to share their mission and to talk about the work they do both locally and globally. Additionally, Lindsay Daunell of D&H has designed a custom brooch inspired by the Sisters to be raffled during the event. A multitude of other prizes include wine baskets, event tickets and gift cards to local merchants. Proceeds benefit the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence Archives and Habit Fund.
