Volunteer registration will be handled online. There are two simple steps to the process, registration and signing up for an "event". Signing up for an event is basically selecting which shift or part of the Folsom Street Fair that you'll be working at. For your convenience, there are two versions of the registration instructions, the Quick Version and the BDG Version. Please select the Version that works best for you.

We strongly recommend that you read through all of the instructions before you go to the volunteer site to register and sign up for an event.

If you used the online registration system to volunteer last year, you won't need to register again. Just log in to the system and select a gate shift. You should get an email confirming the shift you've signed up for.

Please don't email Sister Edith for help until you've given it a couple of tries. She thanks you.

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS (THE BDG VERSION):

GO TO THE ONLINE REGISTRATION WEB SITE
Go to thesisters.volunteerhub.com/SignIn.aspx. It's probably a good idea to have this window and the registration window open at the same time. If you're using AOL, you shouldn't be and you won't be able to access the online registration site. You'll need to use a Web browser like Firefox, Opera or Internet Explorer. Make sure that you've got Javascript turned on and that you accept cookies from the online registration site.

When you click on the above link, you should get a page that gives you the option to sign in (on the left) or register (on the right). You'll want to click the button that says REGISTER.

STEP ONE: REGISTER
On the New User page, fill in all the fields with your information. The fields are all labeled and it's pretty self-explanatory. If you mess something up, don't worry: the system will tell you if you forget something and you'll be able to change your information after you've registered. The Sisters will never sell or share your information.

Make sure you save your user name and password somewhere; you'll need them both if you ever want to edit your account. If you forget your password, the system will email it to you if you have your user name.

It is very important that you enter your JOIN CODE(s) at the bottom, under where it says Do you have a Join Code? If you do not enter your JOIN CODE and click the Join button, you will not be able to sign up for a shift..

Enter your JOIN CODE and click the Join button. You must do this before you click the Save and Continue button. If you have more than one JOIN CODE, enter the first JOIN CODE and click the JOIN button. When the page reloads, your group should be listed. Then, enter your second JOIN CODE and click the JOIN button.

If you don't know your JOIN CODE(s), you can't register and will need to contact your volunteer coordinator. If you aren't with an organization and are volunteering to help the Sisters out of the goodness of your heart, then your JOIN CODE is RINGERS.

Once you've successfully registered, you should be taken to the main page. Follow the instructions below...

STEP TWO: SIGN UP FOR AN EVENT
On the main page, the Sisters' logo and a portion of the 2008 Folsom poster are at the top and there's text that says Welcome to the Sisters' Event Registration and Sign Up Page. Take a moment to read all of the helpful information (you might need some of it later) and then scroll down the page to where it says 2008 Folsom Street Fair.

Find the shift or area of the Folsom Street Fair that you're signing up to work for in the list. When you've found it, click the Sign Up button to the left of the shift you want.

When you click on the Sign Up button, you'll be taken to a page that has more details about that event. From here on out the system we're using has a handy "wizard" (why wizard and not witch, huh?) that will help you to sign up for the event. Just follow the instructions and you should be fine.

When you've finished signing up for the event, you should be taken back to the welcome page. If you scroll down the page again, there should be at least one event under where it says Your Events.

Congratulations! You've just registered and signed up.

You should get an email confirming that you've signed up for a shift and giving you information about what you'll be doing. Please save this email for future reference. If you don't get a confirmation email in an hour, contact Sister Edith at the email address below.

Once you're registered, you can go back to the site and change your information, check what you signed up for, sign up for a different event and re-read all the helpful information.

If you have questions about how to register or sign up, email Sister Edith at . You can also help us improve these instructions by sending any feedback on them to Sister Edith.

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
(THE QUICK VERSION):

Click on the big button above that says REGISTER NOW!. You should get a page that gives you the option to sign in (on the left) or register (on the right). You'll want to click the button that says REGISTER.

You should be taken to the New User page where you'll need to fill in the fields with your information. Write down your user name and password somewhere. Make sure you enter your JOIN CODE(s) by entering it where it says Do you have a Join Code? and clicking the Join button. If you don't know what a JOIN CODE is, contact your volunteer coordinator. If you have more than one, enter the first one, click the JOIN button and then, after the page reloads, enter the second one and click the JOIN button. When you've filled in the fields and entered your JOIN CODE(s), click the Save and Continue button.

If you're still on the New User Registration page, look for the red text and fill in the missing information. Otherwise you should be taken to the main page.

You should now be at the main welcome page. Read the helpful information, then scroll down to where it says "2008 Folsom Street Fair". Pick your desired shift and click the Sign Up button. If it says FULL next to the event, you'll have to pick something else. Sorry.

Read the information and follow the instructions on the next couple of pages. When you've finished the sign up process, you should be taken back to the main welcome page; if you scroll down, there should be an event listed under "Your Events".

You should get an email confirming the shift you've signed up for. Please save this email for future reference. If you don't get any emails, then try again with the BDG Version of the instructions, or email for help.

Once you're registered, you can go back to the site and change your information, check what you signed up for, sign up for a different event and re-read all the helpful information.
